Motor Carrier Transportation Advisory Committee to meet

The Oregon Motor Carrier Transportation Advisory Committee will meet Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Natural Resource Building, 3415 Commercial St. SE, in Salem.
The committee will hear presentations on a motor carrier safety legislative concept regarding drug testing and the Safety action plan. In addition, there will be a presentation on the ODOT Maintenance policy for snow and ice removal.
Dave McKane, Motor Carrier Investigations, Safety and Federal Programs manager, will facilitate the meeting. The committee is made up of representatives from the Oregon Department of Transportation, Oregon State Police, the trucking industry and related industries.
