The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, in Room 122 of the Transportation Building, 355 Capitol St. N.E. in Salem.

Commissioners will hear a monthly status report on the ConnectOregon program, Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, the Oregon Transportation Investment Acts (OTIA I and II) and the OTIA III State Bridge Delivery Program.
Other items on the commission agenda include:
  • A presentation on multimodal tradeoff analysis — the concept that a potential project in one mode may provide greater benefits to users than a project in another mode.
  • A discussion on project selection criteria for projects to be funded from an $8 million increase in the Operations Program, which was approved by the commission in adopting the 2008 – 2011 STIP.
  • A discussion on proposed solar energy projects that may have the potential to accelerate cost-effective project delivery or promote innovative approaches to carrying out the projects.

Meetings of the Oregon Transportation Commission are open to the public. Time will be available at the meeting for commissioners to hear public comments.
