The Oregon Department of Transportation’s Rail Advisory Committee will meet May 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Portland at the Port of Portland Building in the Commission Room, 121 NE Everett.
The committee will review and discuss high speed rail related projects for potential funding through federal stimulus funds. The committee will also hear status reports on ConnectOregon projects, the rail assessment study and pending legislation.
The 14-member committee, chaired by Chuck McLaran, former Albany Mayor, represents diverse interests in rail transportation statewide. It advises ODOT on freight and passenger rail issues. Committee members are appointed by ODOT Director Matt Garrett.
