Inclement Weather

If your area is experiencing inclement weather, please check out the DAS webpage to see if your DMV office is closed or on delayed opening. You may also use the interactive map on our DMV Office index page to see if there is a delay in offices opening or if an office is closed.

Mailed-In

All mailed-in transactions should be sent to DMV Headquarters.  Please do not send them to this office.

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday and Tuesday
10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Thursday and Friday
 
Note: DMV offices are closed for Statewide Holidays.

Drive tests are given by appointment only. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call the office number above.

You must show proof of insurance before a drive test. You can use:

  • A valid insurance card;
  • A current vehicle liability insurance policy or binder; or
  • A DMV Certificate of Self-Insurance showing you as the owner of the vehicle.


Note:
If there is inclement weather, drive tests may be cancelled or traction devices may be required. Please confirm your drive test by calling the office.

Going East

  • Travel east on OR-8 from Forest Grove or Cornelius.
  • OR-8 splits into westbound Baseline St and eastbound Oak St just past 17th Ave.
  • Turn RIGHT into the Winco Grocery Store strip mall just past 17th Ave (the first traffic signal upon entering Hillsboro).
  • You may also turn RIGHT on 17th Ave from OR-8, then LEFT into the strip mall.
  • DMV is located at the east end of the Winco Grocery strip mall.


Going West

  • Travel west on Tualatin Valley Hwy (OR-8) from Aloha and Beaverton.
  • Continue west on OR-8, following the signs to Cornelius and Forest Grove.
  • OR-8 will curve to the Right (north) just past 13th Ave.
  • Continue north on OR-8 for about 5 blocks.
  • Turn LEFT (west) on Baseline St (this is still OR-8).
  • Continue west on Baseline St (OR-8) for about 13 blocks.
  • Turn LEFT (south) on 17th Ave (traffic signal).
  • Almost immediately, turn LEFT into the Winco Grocery strip mall.
  • DMV is located at the east end of the strip mall.


Going North

  • Travel north on OR-219 into Hillsboro.
  • Turn LEFT (west) on Baseline St (OR-8).
  • Continue west on Baseline St for about 4 blocks.
  • Turn LEFT (south) on 17th Ave (traffic signal).
  • Almost immediately, turn LEFT into the Winco Grocery strip mall.
  • DMV is located at the east end of the strip mall.


Going South

  • Travel south on 1st Ave (OR-219) through Hillsboro.
  • Turn RIGHT (west) on Baseline St (OR-8).
  • Continue west on Baseline St for about 4 blocks.
  • Turn LEFT (south) on 17th Ave (traffic signal).
  • Almost immediately, turn LEFT into the Winco Grocery strip mall.
  • DMV is located at the east end of the strip mall.

This office accepts cash, checks, debit cards, mobile payments, Discover, Master Card and Visa for payment.​
