    All sixty Oregon DMV field offices are accepting debit and credit card payments now that installation of software, hardware, and employee training is finished.  Customer response is incredible,” DMV Administrator Tom McClellan said. “Our satisfaction surveys showed a desire for credit and debit payments, and we’re pleased by the positive response already. Legislative budget approval was essential for our success.”

  • Winter storms can impact the services available at DMV offices
    Inclement weather often halts drive tests and forces office closures
    During severe weather conditions, drive tests may have to be canceled or delayed and traction devices (chains, studded tires, etc.) may be required. Also, offices may have to close if staff cannot safely reach the facility or if there are power outages. Furthermore, central support staff may not be able to update DMV's internet site so be sure to call the office you plan to visit before heading out.
