PAYMENT NOTICE: Due to the added costs of merchant fees, DMV offices only accept cash or checks and do not accept credit or debit cards; however this office does offer an ATM in the lobby for your convenience.
 
PARKING NOTICE: Only limited street parking is available for oversized vehicles and combination vehicles.
 
CLOSURE NOTICE: Due to statewide cost saving measures, all DMV facilities will be closed on the following days: 10/16/09, 11/27/09, 3/19/10, 4/16/10, 6/18/10, 8/20/10, 9/17/10, 11/26/10, 3/18/11, 5/20/11.

Knowledge Test Hours
Your customer number must be called by 4:00 PM in order to take the test.
 
Note: No one is allowed to accompany a customer into the testing area while a knowledge test is being taken except for interpreters.

  • From North or Southbound OR-101, turn East (away from the Ocean) on 5th St.
  • Continue 1 block East on 5th St.
  • The DMV office will be on the Right-hand side at the corner of 5th St and Avery St.
  • Only limited street parking is available for oversize vehicles and combination vehicles.
Going West
  • Travel West on the Corvallis Newport Highway (OR-20).
  • As you approach Newport, OR-20 becomes Olive St.
  • Turn RIGHT (North) on OR-101.
  • Travel North on OR-101 for about 5 blocks.
  • Turn RIGHT (East) on 5th St.
  • Continue 1 block East on 5th St.
  • The DMV office will be on the Right-hand side at the corner of 5th St and Avery St.
  • Only limited street parking is available for oversize vehicles and combination vehicles.
Going East
  • Travel East on Olive St.
  • Turn LEFT (North) on OR-101.
  • Travel North on OR-101 for about 5 blocks.
  • Turn RIGHT (East) on 5th St.
  • Continue 1 block East on 5th St.
  • The DMV office will be on the Right-hand side at the corner of 5th St and Avery St.
