Image of the state of Oregon with a DMV logo over itThe Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division (DMV), is a branch of the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).

Our mission is to promote driver safety, protect financial and ownership interests in vehicles, provide driver licenses and identification cards for Oregon residents and collect revenue for Oregon's roads.

Our main headquarters building is located in Salem, OR and we provide local customer service offices throughout the state.

Official Web Site
The Oregon DMV maintains and endorses only one official Web site located at http://www.oregon.gov/ODOT/DMV.

Users should avoid other Web sites claiming to represent the Oregon DMV or all state DMV's and those promising to deliver easy online DMV services, especially those charging a fee to access online forms, skills tests or services.

Note: We may reference our old Web site located at http://www.oregondmv.com within some advertisements and printed materials but users are redirected via automated algorithms to the official Web site listed above when this address is entered. Also, when accessing online services, forms or links from our official Web site users may be subsequently redirected to other Web addresses.

Hours of Operation
Central support staff at DMV Headquarters may be contacted from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding statewide holiday and mandated closures. Hours of operation may vary at local customer service office locations.
