Why isn't my office listed? 
Only DMV offices equipped with automated wait time management systems are included in the tracking and display. Some offices do not have these systems due to a relatively small number of customers, low transaction volumes, facility limitations or other factors.

Why is the wait time for my office listed as "Unavailable"?
This can occur for several reasons, including:
  • The wait time data for the office has not yet been sampled.
  • Technical difficulties are prohibiting the collection and display of wait time data.
  • The office has unexpectedly closed or is without power.
Why is the wait time for my office listed as "Closed"?
The office is not open for business, i.e., it is outside their normal operating hours.

Why was my actual wait time different from the one listed on the system?
The wait time displayed represents an average calculated based upon data sampling taken at a point in time. Although this is very useful information when deciding if and when to visit a certain office, it represents what was occurring in the recent past to a group of customers.
How current is the wait time information?
Wait time information is sampled approximately every 10 minutes. When monitoring wait times, you will need to refresh your browser every 10 minutes or so to get the most current information.
What exactly does the wait time represent?
The wait time represents the period between when a customer receives a numbered ticket and when they are served at the counter.
