Agency terminating lease in Brookside Meadow Plaza

DMV informed the owner of the Brookswood Meadow LLC on December 8 that the agency is terminating its lease for the office space at Brookswood Meadow Plaza in Bend.

DMV received a letter dated November 30, 2010, informing the agency that the property owner will not be able to complete preparation of the leased office space by the agreed upon date.

The agency exercised its right under the lease agreement to terminate the lease if the property owner could not meet conditions for occupancy by January 15, 2011.

DMV will consider all options in determining a future location for the Bend DMV office in order to provide excellent customer services to residents of the Bend area.

During the interim, the Bend office will remain at the temporary site on the Oregon Department of Transportation's Highway Division complex in northern Bend. Hours and services will remain the same.
