Medford DMV office hours to change
News Release

September 7, 2012
11-225

Office no longer open on Saturday

The Medford DMV office will no longer be open on Saturdays after Sept. 10, 2011. The office’s business hours are changing to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, except Wednesdays when the office opens at 9 a.m.

The change in business hours will better match DMV staff levels with the times that customers most frequently use the office during the week.

“More people are doing business with DMV by mail and online,” DMV Field Services Manager Stephanie Miles said. “Our Medford office is also much busier on Mondays and Fridays, so shifting our staff to weekdays will allow us to provide better service during our two busiest days of the week.”

All Oregon DMV offices will be closed Friday, Sept. 16, for the first of 10 statewide unpaid furlough days scheduled for the state’s 2011-2013 budget period. For more information on furlough closures, visit http://oregon.gov/furlough_closures.shtml.

The Medford DMV office is also receiving new automated testing devices for taking driver knowledge tests. The new equipment will be available as of Monday, Sept 19.

When people need DMV services, DMV recommends that they first check http://www.oregondmv.com/. Customers may be able to complete DMV business online, or to find out how to prepare and make their DMV visit as efficient as possible.
