Leaky roof forces office closure

The DMV office in Oakridge is closed indefinitely until repairs are made to the roof of the leased facility where the office is located. The nearest DMV offices to Oakridge are in Cottage Grove and Springfield.

The Oakridge office, located in the Willamette Activity Center, is normally operated Tuesdays only by two DMV staff members – one each from the Eugene and Springfield DMV offices. They will work at their primary office locations until the Oakridge DMV is reopened.

DMV staff opened the Oakridge office as usual on Tuesday, Jan. 3, and found water damage from a leaky roof. DMV decided to close the office immediately to avoid any health or safety risks posed by leaking rainwater to customers, staff members and electronic equipment.
