  • Governor’s budget: “It is time that we build this bridge”
    ​Governor Kitzhaber’s budget proposes significant investments in transportation infrastructure, including $450 million in funding for the Interstate 5 Bridge Replacement and $60 million for a fifth round of ConnectOregon. The Governor announced that he has secured legislative agreement to move forward on securing funding.

  • I-5 bridge replacement will create jobs, report shows

    ​A recently released economic benefits analysis shows that replacing the Interstate 5 bridge will have significant benefits to the economy of the Portland metro region and the Pacific Northwest, creating more than 4000 jobs by making the region more competitive and expanding markets for goods and services.

  • Mileage based user fee pilot launches

    ​Oregon’s Road User Charge Pilot Program is now underway.  Under the pilot, about 40 volunteers are testing the feasibility of an “open” system that allows users to choose among multiple methods and technologies to collect a mileage based user fee.
