Welcome to the "Electric Vehicle Corridor Connectivity Project." Thank you to everyone who provided input about the potential sites that might qualify for US Department of Transportation funding to install electric vehicle charging stations. We will keep you up-to-date on this website as the evaluation process continues.
Information on the Potential Charging Station Host Sites:
Target sites will be commercial enterprises that offer other activities for drivers while they wait for their vehicle to charge. These include truck stops, gas stations, convenience stores and restaurants. Although commercial sites will be the preferred host sites, public sites will be considered if they meet the other specifications and are surrounded by commercial entities that can provide services to the EV driver.
Each host site will agree to host one EV fast-charging station and one Level II EV charging station, each capable of providing electricity to one car at a time, for a total of two parking spaces occupied and reserved for EV parking only.
