Oregon is exploring a new funding system—a road usage charge—to provide more equitable funding for our public roadways. After two pilot projects in 2007 and 2012, the state legislature voted Senate Bill 810 into law on July 9, 2013. Oregon is now conducting a 5,000 vehicle volunteer program which implements a per-mile charge as an alternative to the gas tax.
The Oregon Department of Transportation invites you to review a website introducing OReGO, our new road usage charge program. The website will serve as a comprehensive resource for Oregonians looking to learn more about the program and what it means for the future of our state’s transportation system. The OReGO website includes:

·  A history of road usage charging in Oregon
·  Information on the scope of Senate Bill 810 including a full overview of the new program launching on July 1, 2015
·  Details on what it means to become an OReGo participant, including qualifications and account management options
·  A calculator to compare current fuels tax payment verses road usage charge payment
·  Profiles from volunteer participants
·  FAQs, media stories, and much, much more!
