| Overview |
|
OBDP has developed and implemented numerous systems to house and manage corporate data about the bridge improvements being made under the OTIA III Bridge Program. Many of these systems provide new, desired functionality or automate current, manual processes that could potentially be of future benefit to ODOT. As part of the Program ramp down, analysis must be performed to identify which of the OBDP systems and / or the data housed in these systems should be migrated over to ODOT. Even though OBDP will be on task to deliver the program until 2014, many of the IT resources assigned to developing and managing the OBDP systems may not be on staff at that time. The necessary systems analysis should begin at a time when those resources are still on staff and available for expert input.
The purpose of this project is to provide a clear understanding of the Oregon Bridge Delivery Partners (OBDP) systems, how they are used, the resources required to manage them, and the data housed within them. The scope of this project encompasses assessment of the following key systems:
· Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI)
· Electronic Document Management System (EDMS, or FileNet as commonly referred)
· Engineering Drawing System (EDS or ProjectWise as commonly referred)
· Geographic Information System (GIS)
· OBDP.Org Website
· OBDPNet Reporting Center
· Pre-Construction Assessment (PCA)
· Surveillance Log (incorporated into the CEI tool)
· Bridge Reporting System (BRS)
· Workzone Analysis Tool (WZAT)
Additional systems may be evaluated once more information is known and / or as new systems or functionality are identified and developed.
