Project Tracking Tool
Overview

The Project Tracking tool is a tool that is managed and provided by PDU for locating project information. Stemming from PDU’s partnering efforts with Region 2, this tool pulls the most frequently used data from PCS, RMS, TEAMS, CPS, PDWP and ties it all together in one easy-to-use tool.

Some of the current users (and uses) of this tool include:
  • Region Managers and Project Delivery Managers - Get a general overview of late and on-time projects for your region. Instantly obtain project schedule and budget details.
  • TechnicalCenter Managers - Run custom Tech Center report to manage project budgets, let dates, & other scheduling information. Get a heads up on what projects will be “hitting” and when.
  • Area Managers - View all projects currently assigned to you with the click of a button. Drill down further, and view the status of projects by Project Leader & Project Manager. Custom reports provide information on the design phase & the construction phase. Area Managers can view project comments entered by their staff (where entered). *Note: Accurate reporting of projects by Area Manager or Project Leader is dependent on the project having been entered in PDWP.
  • Project Leaders, Project Managers, & Everyone Find the scope, schedule and budget details for active projects. Identify errors in our corporate data, and work with your STIP coordinator or other responsible party to correct them (Click the Data dictionary link on the front page to determine who to contact in order to update data).

This tool pulls directly from corporate data sources, with little filtering or validation. For this reason the tool will provide a good yardstick for gauging project performance, but without a detailed knowledge of the region or project it may not present a 100% complete picture.

The tool is updated daily.  The system allows for custom reports to be created for regions upon request.  If you would find this helpful for your region, or if you have special reporting needs, contact Tracy Posey (contact information below).
