Project Information
Kerr Contractors Inc., a contractor for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), began a project March 2009 to repair OR 6 at the site of three landslides that have occurred near the summit from mile post 33.25 to 34.25. Retaining walls will be built at each of the three slide sites on the north side of the highway. Project completion is slated for December 2009.

In addition to building retaining walls, there will be grinding, paving and durable striping in the project area.

Traffic Impacts
OR 6 will remain open at all times with single lane closures throughout the duration of the project. Flaggers, and occasionally pilot cars, will be controlling one-way traffic while lane closures are in place. Motorists should expect delays of up to 20 minutes through the project area. Work will take place on weekdays, with the possibility of night work. Lane closures are not permitted between 3 p.m. on Fridays to midnight on Sundays.

Read the weekly construction news that details the traffic impacts weekly, updated every Friday.
