Region 1 requests that the Oregon Transportation Commission (OTC) adopt the US26: Brookwood Parkway/Helvetia Road Interchange Area Management Plan (IAMP) and amend the 1999 Oregon Highway Plan. OTC adoption will establish policies for the interchange areas to guide Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and local governments for managing the interchange facilities.
The City and County are in the process of adopted local ordinances into local comprehensive plans and transportation system plans. These ordinances will be adopted after the OTC meeting; therefore the OTC shall condition their final approval of the IAMP on the City of Hillsboro and Washington County submittal of their adopted ordinances to the OTC.
