SW Lombard Avenue at SW Canyon Road
The commuter rail project will be placing rail along Lombard Avenue where it crosses Canyon Road in Beaverton beginning Monday, Jan. 28. From Monday through Wednesday, Jan. 30, work will be done at night through lane closures, beginning at 10 p.m. and ending at 5 a.m.
The intersection at Canyon Road and Lombard Avenue will be fully closed on the nights of Thursday, Jan. 31, and Friday, Feb. 1, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The following detours will be in effect:
The westbound Canyon Road detour route will take traffic south onto Broadway Street, straight into Lombard Avenue. At this intersection traffic will continue west through Broadway Street to turn right (north) onto Hall Boulevard. At the intersection of Canyon Road and Hall Boulevard, traffic will be directed to continue left (west) onto Canyon Road to complete the westbound detour route.
Eastbound Canyon Road traffic will be directed to turn right (south) onto Watson Street to Farmington Road. At the intersection of Watson Street and Farmington Road, traffic will be turning left (east) onto Farmington Road to continue to Lombard Avenue. At Farmington Road and Lombard Avenue, traffic will be turning left (north) onto Lombard Avenue. Vehicles will then proceed to turn right (east) onto Broadway Street all the way to Canyon Road. At this point traffic will continue right (east) onto Canyon Road to complete the eastbound detour route.

The intersection of SW Canyon Road at SW Lombard Avenue is located to the west of the Highway 217 at Canyon Road within the City of Beaverton in Washington County, and within the boundaries of ODOT Region 1. SW Canyon Road is a major Washington County arterial also commonly known as Highway 8. It carries nearly 40,000 vehicles daily east of Lombard Avenue.
