Oregon 213: Butte Creek Jack's Bridge (Woodburn)
Overview
Jack’s Bridge was constructed in 1931; due to its age and structural condition it needs to be replaced.

Butte Creek’s flow slowly erodes the river channel at the base of the bridge’s foundations, a condition known as scouring. Scouring cause’s maintenance problems and can eventually lower the amount of weight the bridge can safely handle.

Construction is scheduled to begin 2011 and be complete 2012. The preliminary planning level estimate indicates a total project cost of approximately $4.4 million. However, construction cost for the project can not be accurately estimated until the preliminary design is completed.
