Residential and commercial growth in the Woodburn area have caused significant traffic congestion in Woodburn at the I-5 interchange with Oregon 214 and along Oregon 214. The project addresses these issues by widening Oregon 214 from Broughton Way to Park Avenue as a complement to the Woodburn Interchange Project.
ODOT will hold public meetings to review design alternatives and draft environmental documents mid to late 2009. After that, funding will determine how the project moves forward.
Funding
Funding has been allocated for environmental work and concept design of the improvements for Oregon 214, however, right of way and construction funding has not been allocated.
The environmental impact analysis, including impacts on the human and natural environment, will help shape the project and be the basis of the project design for construction.
