Knox Butte and U.S. 20 Interchanges
These drawings show two concepts for the I-5 mainline between the Knox Butte Interchange and US 20. These two interchanges work together as a system and an additional lane is needed for traffic entering/exiting the freeway between the two interchanges. There are two concepts under development, an Auxiliary Road system and a Collector/Distributor Road System. The main difference between the two is that the Collector/Distributor road is separated from I-5 mainline traffic by barrier.
