| Oregon 22: Cordon Road Interchange Study |
| Overview |
ODOT, the City of Salem and Marion County are working together to evaluate local community needs for an interchange at Oregon 22 (North Santiam Highway) and Cordon Road.
The interchange is part of the Expressway Management Plan (EMP) for Oregon 22. Local governments requested ODOT review whether or not an interchange should be included in the plan based on local need. The requested review is being funded by the City of Salem and Marion County.
The project team is currently collecting data to document transportation, economic development, and other needs and opportunities related to a potential interchange.
| Public Involvement |
An advisory committee, comprising state and local officials, will meet regularly to track the evaluation’s progress and provide recommendations to ODOT for the Expressway Management Plan. These committee meetings will provide an opportunity for public comment. The study will also host an open house for the public in the spring 2009.
