Several bridges along Oregon 6 are in need of repair for safety and to maintain the highway as a freight corridor. The bridges being repaired at mile posts 5.78, 11.8, 18 and 32. The bridge repairs are part of the OTIA program.
Work on the middle bridges (mile post 11.8 and 18) are scheduled for completion in fall 2010. Bridges at mile posts 5.78 and 32 were originally scheduled for replacement, but a cost study showed that a repair would be more cost effective. They are scheduled for repair beginning in summer 2010 with completion near the end of 2011.
Expect intermittent single lane closures controlled while work is ongoing.
