Oregon 99W: McMinnville Signals and Safety Improvements
Overview
This is a safety project to reduce the number of crashes and improve the operation of Oregon 99W (Pacific Highway West) where it intersects with 27th Street, McDaniel Lane and McDonald Lane in McMinnville.

Several factors contribute to poor safety conditions, including numerous driveways that connect with Oregon 99W near intersections and increase the potential for accidents. There have been 105 reported crashes from Jan. 2003 to Dec. 2007 within the project area.

ODOT rates areas that consistently have crashes on a Safety Priority Index System (SPIS) which prioritizes sites by number and severity of crashes. Sites within this project are considered to be among the worst crash locations on the state highway system when ranked according to crash frequency and severity.

Public Involvement
The project is scheduled for construction summer 2011.

Please check our weekly construction updates for more information during the construction period.
