U.S. 20: Airport Road (Lebanon)
Overview
This is a safety project to reduce the number of crashes on highway U.S. 20 at Airport Road in Lebanon.

ODOT rates areas that consistently have crashes on a Safety Priority Index System (SPIS) which prioritizes sites by the number and severity of crashes. There are 630 areas in Oregon that are considered ‘SPIS sites’. These sites are listed according to severity, with the first site as the most dangerous and the last site as the least severe.

This project is in the top 10% of severe ‘SPIS sites’ in the Region.

Current Status
The project will construct a new right turn lane from Airport Road onto U.S. 20, eastbound. ODOT is acquiring right of way for construction and finalizing design plans.

Public Involvement
Construction is expected to begin spring 2010.
