| Seaside Transportation Planning Meeting on Jan. 20 | ||

Public asked to review and comment on proposed alternatives SEASIDE – City, county and state officials will present various transportation alternatives at the Seaside Transportation System Plan (Seaside TSP) meeting on Jan. 20 at the Broadway Middle School cafeteria from 5 – 7 p.m. The meeting will focus on reviewing alternatives for improvements to local and state roadways as well as bicycle, pedestrian and transit systems. Officials seek community input on improvement alternatives that will be included in the Seaside TSP. The Seaside TSP will serve as the transportation element of the City of Seaside’s Comprehensive Plan, describing how the transportation network in Seaside is being used now and how it is expected to be used in the future (2030). Transportation System Plans need to be developed according to the State of Oregon’s Transportation Planning Rule in order to ensure that funding is allocated to projects that have demonstrated local need and support.
