05/18/2009
Work on U.S. 101 Business and Oregon 202 to begin this week

ASTORIA - Beginning at 9. a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, Scapoose contractor TFT Construction, Inc., will begin pavement work on U.S. 101 Business between Old Young’s Bay Bridge and the Lewis and Clark Bridge. The contractor will patch and pave during daylight hours for an estimated three weeks to four weeks until the work is complete.

Expect delays up to 20 minutes as single lane traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

Beginning today and continuing for approximately three weeks, ODOT crews will also remove debris and hazard trees on Oregon 202 (Nehalem Highway) from mile posts 17-29. Crews performed similar work on U.S. 26 and 30 earlier in the year.

Expect delays from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday, while work is ongoing. Please watch for roadside crews and construction equipment. Expect up to 20 minute delays as single lane traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
