| 06/29/2009 |
Undermined roadway worsens at mile post 13, between U.S. 101 and Oregon 18
Because of increased instability under the roadway from slide activity, contractors will be unable to maintain traffic flow while repairs are made to Oregon 22 (Three Rivers Highway) at mile post 13, between U.S. 101 (Pacific Coast Highway) and Oregon 18 (Salmon River Highway).
The contractor plans to close Oregon 22 at mile post 13 on Tuesday, June 30, from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to affect repairs. Single lane traffic should be restored Tuesday night, after which repair work will continue with flaggers controlling traffic.
Crews will place variable message boards on U.S. 101 and Oregon 18, notifying motorists of the closure. Drivers may use Oregon 18 as an alternate route.
Repair work should be completed in July.
