| Beer truck crash close westbund Beltline | ||

SPRINGFIELD–A freight truck hauling beer has struck the Willamette River Bridge on westbound Beltline Highway and jack-knifed across the road. Both westbound Beltline lanes are closed. At this time, westbound traffic is being detoured to Delta Highway. A tow truck is on scene and is expected to remove the wrecked truck by 3:30 p.m. A bridge inspector is enroute to determine the extent of damage to the bridge. ODOT expects to reopen the westbound lanes by 3:45 p.m. No further information is available. |
