| Repair work will close New Youngs Bay Bridge Wednesday night | ||

ASTORIA – An Oregon Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crew will close the New Youngs Bay Bridge overnight on Wednesday, Aug. 8, for a concrete patching project on the bridge deck. Crews will close the bridge at approximately 9 p.m. The bridge is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9. A second overnight closure may take place beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, and ending 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, if crews encounter unforeseen issues and are unable to finish the repair work the first night. During the work, bridge traffic will be detoured to U.S. 101 Alternate (Airport Hill Road). ODOT asks that motorists approach the work area with caution and be prepared to stop. ##ODOT##
