CORVALLIS— Favorable work conditions are making it possible for the contractor with the Oregon Department of Transportation to move up the scheduled closure of Granger Road to allow for reconstruction of the railroad tracks. The road will be closed starting at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16 and re-opening at 7:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17. Earlier this week crews were working on the rail crossing at Independence Road. The work was originally anticipated to take about a week at each rail crossing. Completing both crossings in one week will accelerate the completion of the overall project. The work zone will be controlled by flaggers. Delays are expected to be 10 minutes or less. ##ODOT##
