ODOT to take aerial photographs in Clatsop and Tillamook Counties
 
Weather permitting, ODOT will survey projects and infrastructure on Sept. 17  
 
ASTORIA – Weather permitting on Sept. 17, ODOT will use a helicopter to take photos of 14 locations around Clatsop and Tillamook Counties.

Motorists can expect to see a helicopter surveying transportation infrastructure, including bridges and roads throughout the two-county area.  
 
Each biennium, ODOT shoots aerial photographs of projects for the upcoming Statewide Transportation Improvement Program, or STIP. The STIP is a federally required listing of planned projects. Aerial photos will be used in planning, project development, right of way acquisition and public information.
