Railroad work to close Oregon 219 near Woodburn

WOODBURN – Oregon 219 at mile post 35.60, about 2 miles north of Woodburn, will be closed from 6 a.m., Monday, Sept. 24 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27.  Maintenance crews will work with Portland Western Railroad to improve mainline and secondary rail crossings.

Traffic will be controlled around the clock by flaggers, and a 3.3 mile detour will be established using Arbor Grove Road, Crosby Road and Butteville Road.  Local access will be available at either end of the detour route.

On Monday through Wednesday, work includes modification of the grade, removal of existing tracks and installation of new tracks.  On Thursday, ODOT will repave the highway.
