STAYTON — The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will host an informational open house in Stayton on Tuesday, Nov. 27, for the OR22: Sublimity Interchange project. Construction is scheduled to begin during the summer of 2008.
The open house will provide information on the design of the interchange, the construction schedule and traffic staging/flow during construction. The primary focus of the meeting is to provide information to the public about where in the process ODOT is and what to expect during construction. The Stayton and Sublimity open house will be held at the Stayton Public Library, 515 North 1st Ave, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.This will be the only open house for the two communities.
The project will include the construction of three new ramps and a retaining wall, construction of an over crossing at Cascade Highway and Mill Creek, installation of a traffic signal on Cascade Highway and installation of illumination.
Traffic impacts
Beginning in the summer of 2008, highway construction will be performed during the day as well as at night and could cause one-lane work zone temporary traffic control. The traffic operations goal during construction is to cause minimal delays or idle travel to the traveling public and local businesses.
