Seaside Transportation System Plan
06/24/2008
This summer, you can help the project team understand Seaside ’s transportation issues

Summer is here, and the project team for the Seaside Transportation System Plan (TSP) asks Seaside residents and visitors to help gather data while enjoying Seaside; by assisting the city, county and state governments, the community can help shape the future of transportation in Seaside. Participate as often as possible by:
  •  Trying a different mode of transportation! Take a trip by bus, bicycle or on foot. Tell the project team what worked, what didn't work and where improvements are needed.
  • Observing the system and reporting back. Seaside is busy during the summer, but where are issues that must be addressed? When are they a problem?

Taking pictures! Pictures are a great way to understand Seaside and let the project team know what works and what does not. The project team may ask use photo(s) in the final TSP report and on the project Web site.

This summer, residents and visitors are invited to send comments to the project staff via the Web site, www.SeasideTSP.org. Send photos to the project team at seasidetsp@ch2m.com. Please include first and last name with relevant information about the photo.

The Seaside TSP will focus on improving the local transportation system over the next 20 years. The project will explore current and future transportation needs, including summertime traffic conditions, safety as well as local and regional truck traffic patterns.

The final plan will be brought before the City of Seaside for approval in spring 2009. Visit www.SeasideTSP.org for more information, including future project updates and a complete project schedule.
