| Casino and beach visitors should consider leaving early to allow for travel delays on Oregon 18 GRAND RONDE – Large events at the Spirit Mountain Casino and hot temperatures are expected to slow traffic on Oregon 18 as drivers make their way to the coast tonight. “We have increased our Incident Response staff levels and expect substantial traffic heading through the area,” said ODOT District 3 Manager Don Jordan. “With over 100-degree temperatures, it is likely that a lot of drivers will head to the beach this weekend, which could cause significant traffic delays.” Although no construction work will be ongoing over the weekend, motorists are asked to drive with caution through the work zone. Drivers are advised to visit www.TripCheck.com for road and weather conditions and ensure their vehicles are in good driving condition with enough fuel and supplies for the trip on such a hot day. ##ODOT## | ||
