Region 2 is home to nearly 200 miles of U.S. 101.
The Oregon Coast Highway is a destination, a historic and cultural resource, and a challenge to maintain with landslides, hurricane force winds and more than 90 inches of rain per year.
The highway and the people who live along it and use it are often in the news.
