Gettings Creek Safety Rest Area to close temporarily
SPRINGFIELD— ODOT will close the Gettings Creek Safety Rest Area, 14 miles south of Eugene, for two days next week in order to perform necessary maintenance.
The northbound and southbound rest areas on Interstate 5 at milepost 178 will close Monday, January 10 at 5 p.m. and reopen Thursday, January 13 at 6 a.m.
During that time, message boards will instruct motorists to use the Cabin Creek Safety Rest Area, located 35 miles south of Gettings Creek or the Oak Grove Safety Rest Area, 26 miles to the north.
