Removal of hazardous trees to restrict travel on OR 126, near Veneta
VENETA—The Oregon Department of Transportation will close the eastbound lane of OR126W, east of Veneta, for several hours on March 2 while crews remove two large, dead trees that pose a hazard to passing motorists.
The trees, twelve inches and 24 inches in diameter, are leaning toward the roadway at milepoint 48.5, approximately a mile and a half east of Veneta, on the south side of the highway.
A flagger will control traffic at the location on Tuesday, March 2 from 10 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. while the trees are cut and removed.
Please drive slowly and use caution while traveling through the construction zone.
