New Youngs Bay Bridge to close for one evening on Wednesday, March 9
ASTORIA—
The New Youngs Bay Bridge (US 101) in Astoria will be closed overnight on Wednesday, March 9 starting at 9 p.m. to allow ODOT to perform a bridge inspection. The bridge will re-open at 5 a.m. on Thursday, March 10.
Variable message signs will be posted in key locations instructing motorists to detour onto US 101-Business and take Old Youngs Bay Bridge.
Built in 1974, New Youngs Bay Bridge carries approximately 14,000 vehicles from Warrenton to Astoria each day.
