| US 20 travel restrictions for next week |

Lane restrictions and temporary closure planned for US 20 near Eddyville
Motorists are encouraged to be prepared for a lengthy road closure
Eddyville— A construction blast will result in lane restrictions on US 20, near Eddyville next week and could result in a road closure lasting several hours. Also, day and night work near the location will also mean a single lane of travel for the entire week.
The contractor on the US 20-Pioneer Mountain to Eddyville project plans to remove approximately 4,000 cubic yards of earth in the blast on Monday, April 26.
Motorists will see the following changes to travel along US 20, between milepost 24 and 25, east of Eddyville:

Monday, April 26—Construction blast may close road
The westbound lane will be closed. A pilot car will escort traffic. There will be a complete road closure for a construction blast between 9:00 a.m. and noon. The road closure could remain in effect for several hours.

Monday, April 26-Saturday, May 1—Day and night work-10-20 minute delays
The westbound lane will be closed. A pilot car will escort traffic. There will be intermittent, short closures to allow construction machinery to cross the highway. Work will be conducted 24 hours per day.
If blasting this week, or at any time during project construction, creates the chance for lengthy traffic delays or highway closures, ODOT will activate variable message signs at key locations to alert drivers to consider alternate routes.
Alternate routes include OR 34 between the coast and the Willamette Valley. Large trucks should use OR99W/I-5 to OR 22 to OR 18 to the coast.
Please use caution when traveling through construction work zones.
