Construction continues on two Lane County intersections
Intermittent, minimal delays are expected Thursday and Friday in Junction City and Glenwood
SPRINGFIELD— Motorists in Junction City and the Glenwood area of Springfield will experience minimal delays as a contractor for the Oregon Department of Transportation continues work at two intersections.
The contractor is schedule to stripe the intersections on Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14. One lane of travel will remain open in each direction.
Lane closures on the state highways at these two intersections are allowed between 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. the following day, Monday through Friday.

Work is scheduled at Franklin Boulevard and Henderson Avenue in the Glenwood area of Springfield, on Thursday, May 13

Work is scheduled at OR 99 and 1st Avenue in Junction City, on Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14
Project to be completed by June
Remaining work includes pavement legends, signing, curb construction, signal detection tie-in and activation, valve-box adjustments and other miscellaneous items.
The construction is part of a $1.8-million dollar intersection improvement project to widen the intersections, realign the roadway, redevelop pedestrian cross-walks, and replace traffic signals and illumination. The project is to be completed by June 3, 2010.
