| Lane restriction on OR 36 for roadway repairs |

Lane restrictions planned on OR 36, east of Mapleton
SPRINGFIELD — OR 36 will be restricted to one lane of travel 4 miles east of Mapleton today and tomorrow, Wednesday, July 21 and Thursday, July 22, while ODOT maintenance crews make repairs to the road base and repave the repaired area.
Erosion of the base was discovered this week. Crews will remove the asphalt at milepost 4.2, apply new aggregate to the base and then repave the asphalt at the damaged location.
Flaggers will control traffic during daytime hours today and tomorrow. Motorists will be asked to reduce speed while they travel on a gravel surface overnight.
