Chip seal project planned on Lafayette and Hopewell area state highways
McMINNVILLE—The Oregon Department of Transportation will be performing a chip seal operation on the Hopewell-Bellevue (Highway 153) and Lafayette (Highway 154) Highways during the weekends of Aug. 7-8 and Aug. 14-15 from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
During construction, traffic will be restricted to one lane of travel. Traffic will be flagged and a pilot car will lead traffic through the construction zone. Expect delays and detours. ODOT will be placing advance warning signs at locations on both sides of the work zones to alert motorists of expected delays.
The work is scheduled as follows:
Saturday, Aug. 7from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Chip seal Highway 154 from mile marker 0.00 (Highway 18 intersection) to mile marker 6.26 (intersection of Highway 153 Hopewell-Bellevue/Highway 154 Lafayette).
Sunday, Aug. 8from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Chip seal Highway 153 from mile marker 10.96 (Highway 154 Lafayette/Highway 153 Bellevue-Hopewell intersection) to mile marker 14.36 (intersection of Highway 153 Hopewell-Bellevue/Highway 150 Wallace Road).
Saturday, Aug. 14from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Fog seal the chip seal done the prior weekend on Highway 154 from mile marker 0.00 (Highway 18 intersection) to mile marker 6.26 (intersection of Highway 153 Hopewell-Bellevue/Highway 154 Lafayette).
Sunday, Aug. 15from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Fog seal the chip seal done the previous weekend at Highway 153 from mile marker 10.96 (Highway 154 Lafayette/Highway 153 Bellevue-Hopewell intersection) to mile marker 14.36 (intersection of Highway 153 Hopewell-Bellevue/Highway 150 Wallace Road).
