Groundbreaking scheduled in Hubbard on Monday, July 18
HUBBARD--The Oregon Department of Transportation and City of Hubbard will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony for the new sidewalk project at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 18 in the parking lot of Key Bank, 3624 Pacific Highway. The public is invited.
The new sidewalk project is located on OR 99E in the City of Hubbard from D Street at milepost 28.25 north to milepost 29.26. The purpose of the project is to provide a safety corridor east along OR 99E by constructing a separated 6-foot sidewalk.
The project is being funded by a $900,000 Transportation Enhancement Grant obtained by the City of Hubbard Public Works Department.
Speakers at the event include Hubbard Mayor Tom McClain, Council member Bruce Warner and Public Works Director Jaime Estrada.
