STIP meeting scheduled
in Keizer on August 4
 
KEIZER--The Oregon Department of Transportation has scheduled a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) meeting as part of the regular meeting of the Mid-Willamette Valley Area Commission on Transportation (MWAC) on Thursday, August 4 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at the Keizer Civic Center, 930 Chemawa Road, NE.

 
During the meeting, the public will have the opportunity to review and comment on proposed projects in the DRAFT 2012-2015 STIP. Projects that will be highlighted and discussed at the open houses range from modernization, preservation, safety & operations and bridge projects.
 
The STIP is Oregon’s four-year transportation capital improvement program. It is the document that identifies funding and scheduling for transportation projects and programs. It includes projects for federal, state, city and county transportation systems; multimodal projects including highway, passenger rail, freight, public transit, bicycle and pedestrian; and projects in national parks and forests.
