Lane restrictions planned on OR 126E, east of Vida
SPRINGFIELD — Lane County Public Works, under contract with the Oregon Department of Transportation, will begin a chip seal operation next week on OR 126E from approximately eight miles east of Vida to approximately five miles east of McKenzie Bridge.
Chip seal is a pavement surface treatment that combines layers of asphalt with layers of fine aggregate.
From 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., beginning Monday, August 9 and continuing through Thursday, August 12, the chip seal operation will result in lane restrictions between milepost 38 and milepost 55.
Motorists will encounter a single lane of travel with flaggers and a pilot car controlling traffic in alternating directions. Motorists should expect 15-20 minute delays while traveling through the construction zone.
