Safety rest areas near Eugene to close for paving
EUGENE— Two safety rest areas along Interstate 5 near Eugene will close temporarily this week to allow a contractor working for ODOT to repave the areas.
The Oak Grove Rest Area, northbound and southbound, 13 miles north of Eugene will be closed today, Monday, September 20. It will reopen to partial traffic on Tuesday, September 21 and full traffic on Wednesday, September 22.
The Gettings Creek Rest Area, northbound and southbound, 14 miles south of Eugene will be closed beginning late afternoon Tuesday, September 21 and reopening to full traffic on Thursday, September 23.
