Expect heavy traffic on I-5 near 30th
SPRINGFIELD— ODOT is alerting motorists to expect heavy traffic on Interstate 5 southbound at the 30th Avenue exit in Lane County when the fall term begins at Lane Community College on Monday, September 27.
Heavy student use of that route to LCC usually creates a backup on Interstate 5 during the first few weeks of the fall term.
ODOT is working with LCC to encourage students to allow for extra travel time, take alternate routes to school and, if possible, take public transportation or carpool.
ODOT’s Incident Responders will be traveling the area and will be ready to respond to any traffic issues.
